I have been misspelling the word "sordid" as "sorted" for as long as I have been spelling.
The vast majority of meemoos lack the resources, and frankly the desire, to spell correctly. Their most common spelling for the word "sordid" is swertedt (the t's are both silent). However, at last count, they have over ten different spellings for the word. Popularly held theory denotes that upon hearing any given word, it can take the average meemoo up to 25-35 years to correctly spell it, and an additional 5-7 to pronounce it correctly. This theory only applies to determined meemoos, which make up 2 - 3 percent of their entire population.
